  • Corbin Cash Merced Rye Single Barrel (Healthy Spirits selection) (68% abv): orange, treacle, vanilla on the nose. Palate is orange, golden syrup, burnt sugar. Finish is mint, dark chocolate, hint of smoke. Extraordinarily rich and complex.
  • Rittenhouse Straight Rye BiB (50% abv): nose - orange peel, char, chocolate. Palate - vanilla, orange peel, spice, sweet and juicy. Finish - candied ginger, oak char. Go-to for mixing.
  • Sonoma Distilling Straight Rye (46.5% abv): nose - barley, old books. Palate - old books, tobacco, pale ale. Finish - smoke, chess pieces. Has that taste I don’t like - barley? Wheat? Both?
