• 1.5oz gin

  • 1oz dry vermouth

  • 1/4 oz maraschino

  • 1/4 oz creme de violette

Nice balanced delicate drink. Pale violet in colour. Easy on the maraschino unless you want it sweet, but don’t skip it entirely.

Previous experiment:

1.5oz sweet vermouth
1.5oz Old Tom gin
0.25oz maraschino
0.25oz creme de violette
Orange bitters

Like a Martinez but violette leads - kills initial acidity, makes even sweeter 
Needs something to offset sweetness
Try rye instead of gin?
