- ¼oz maple syrup
- ½oz Branca Menta
- Dash (1/16 oz) maraschino liqueur
- 2oz rye whiskey
- Scant pinch of salt
Stir and serve up for a stiff drink, or over a large ice cube for a long sipper.
Basically a Toronto, but with Branca Menta rather than Fernet.
Maple syrup is an excellent match for the Menta - it balances the mintiness without hiding it, and brings out the rich bitterness.
