Nose: faint pear / cookie dough Taste: pear, sugar cane!

not bad but no clear notes.

3: okay

  • as 1 but 202°F, grind 80
  • TBT 3:20

muted, slightly astringent 208°F wasn’t much different, even at grind 90, bit of a stall occurred

4: okay

  • 205°F, grind 80, 1:18, careful slow pours
  • TBT 3:10

5: okay+

  • 198°F, grind 90, 1:17
  • TBT 3:00

Pleasant pronounced acidity that wasn’t there before. Not a lot else though

6: okay

Faintly tea like nose. Taste is bright but no clear notes. Got a bit better when cooled - pear, sugar

7: good-

  • Lance 1 pour
  • grind 80, 208°F
  • 45+45 bloom with splatter and stir
  • stir during big pour
  • TBT 2:30

Pretty good, clearer than previous brews. Bit fast, try grind 70? Couldn’t repeat 😔

8: good-

  • tetsu sweet forward, splatter and stir
  • grind 80, 205°F
  • TBT 3:00

Smooth, rich, pear and brown sugar.
