- 1oz dry vermouth (Noilly Prat extra dry)
- ¾oz Letherbee Bësk
- 1¼oz pear brandy (Schladerer)
Following Old Pal formula. Stir and serve up (or probably better on large ice).
Quite nice and fruity with a wormwood bitterness. The vermouth doesn’t quite mesh but the herbal complexity is nice. Bësk adds enough of that on its own, maybe just as a (stronger) two-ingredient drink on the rocks?
Rocks version
- 1½oz Letherbee Bësk
- 1½oz pear brandy
- Dash orange bitters
Easy drinking if you like bittersweet drinks (Jenny didn’t like it though). Bitterness a little much, maybe try 2:1 instead of 1:1.
